Review: E.L.F Liquid Eyeliner in "Plum"

Hey everyone! This is my review for the E.L.F Liquid Eyeliner in "Plum". These cost $1.50 from the website (www.eyeslipsface.com) and there are a few other colours available, but I got this one as I already have a few black liquid eyeliners!
The packaging is long and thin, and the handle is also quite long which doenst bother me, but it might do some people. This liquid eyeliner has a sponge brush, and personally I prefer the brush applicators because I guess they could be slightly harder to use, but you get a pecise line and the spnonge applicator puts loads of product on one half of the line and not enough on the other, it just doenst spread the product very well in my opinion. Heres a swatch:
The picture isnt showing it up too well, but the product isnt spread very evenly, but the thing I don't really like aabout this is the colour. The bottle is a shimmery plum colour, and I naturally assumed the product inside was going to be the same, but its just a flat, matte brown. Not really what I was expecting. I was dissapointed at the colour to be honest, I wouldnt really call it plum, I'd call it brown! And I think it is a little misleading to have a shimmery bottle because I assumed the liner would be the same colour as the bottle!

But apart from that, the liner was ok. Not great, but ok. I wouldnt repurchase this to be honest, the colour is fine (in terms of pigmentation) but its just not a colour I would ever really wear, I bought it a while ago and apart from testing it out I havent really worn it because it's not a colour I would wear. I would wear a plum though! The liner lasted all day on me, but I dont normally have much of a problem with that sort of thing anyway.
All in all, its not too bad for the price, you just have to watch what colour youre actually buying! And if you prefer sponge applicators! =) I think the black would be ok becauase you can't get very much variation in that colour, but I don't think I'll buy any of these again, not unless they come out with a colour thats really unique!

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed my review!
Have a good day! =) xx

Review:Cosmopolitan Smokey Eyes Brush Set

Hey Everyone! This is a review for the Cosmopolitan Smokey Eyes Brush Set. I got this for £6.99 from a tescos. The set comes with three brushes:
Smokey Eyes Base Brush
Smokey Eyes Angled Brush
Smokey Eyes Smudge Brush

The Angled Brush is the one I use the most, it has really thin, but sturdy hairs, so you can get a precise line, or a thicker line. The only thing with this is that because its so firm, its not very forgiving if you poke yourself in the eye (something I tend to quite frequently do when I'm using this brush near my lower lash line!) but all in all a very useful brush.

The Base Brush is also very useful. Unlike the angled one, the hairs are softer and smoother. It's not firm enough for patting colour on the lid, but its good for adding a sweep of colour, or even for applying shadow in the outer corners or creating an "outer v" with eyeshadow.

The Smudge brush is tiny! Its really small, which I guess is a good thing. This is probably the brush I use least out of all of them. It tugs on your eyelids a bit and if i need to smudge out eyeshadow I use my E.L.F crease brush. But if you didnt have that, then this does work to smudge eyeshadow, it just tugs rather a bit, but at the same time feels fairly delicate, I'd be a bit wary of breaking it somehow! But it would still work well I think, just don't throw it around too much!

All in all this would be a great brush set for beginners especially. Its quite cheap for 3 brushes and they're all good quality. They're all quite small, but you can build up a really good smokey look with them. It even gives instructions on the packet on how to create a smokey eye which i thought was good! It would be great if you're just starting out with make up or even if you've been doing it for a long time! I use these brushes all the time and I'm very glad I bought them!

Have a good day =)

Review: E.L.F Eye Crease Brush

Hey Everyone! This will be a review for the E.L.F crease brush, one that I've been using LOADS! =)
The light wasn't very good so I held the brush against my arm so you could see the shape of the brush. I got it for £1.50 from the elf website (www.eyeslipsface.com) and I think it is a great price for the brush. One thing I was annoyed about was  very shortly after the brush arrived the metal bit became a bit loose, making it move around when you were trying to use it. You might be able to see in the photo i've put a bit of cellotape around it and that seems to steady it fine. None of my other elf brushes seem to have had this problem and they all seem pretty sturdy so I guess this was a one off.
This brush is great for getting into the crease because of its shape, its quite small and the round tip also means you can use it to create an "outer v" with your eyeshadow. But the main thing I love about this brush, and the main thing I use it for, is blending eyeshadow along the top lashline. I use it without anything on it to blend out and smoke out my eyehadow that I use as a liner. It feathers it out really well and it works really well for this,m thats the main reason why I like it, because of its shape it works really well to blend the eyeshadow out. A blending brush is just to be and clumsy to have such a nice effect as this brush does.

So I would definitely recomment this! I have loved all my brushes from elf but I think this is my favourite, and its definitely the one I use the most! Hope you enjoyed my review =)

Have a good day!

Top 10 Makeup Products For Natural Beauty!

Hey Everyone! So I've compiled a list of the top 10 things that I use all the time, which look natural, and can enhance everyones natural Beauty! I started with "top 5 products" but I had too many to choose from! These are in no order =) I may be doing full reviews of some of these products, so these won't be full long reviews, but I'll tell you a bit about them! =)

1) Revlon Colourstay Foundation (150 Buff)

I LOVE this foundation! Both my mum and my sister went out and bought this after borrowing mine and loving it! Gives amazing coverage, and lasts a long time! Its around £13 pounds in the UK, which is good for the quality! I love the texture as well! It isn't sticky or heavy, and as long as you get the right shade, it looks very natural!

2) NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil (Milk)

Check out my full review of this! I use it for highlighting my tearduct and below my eyebrow. It's smooth and creamy and blends really well into the skin. I bought this online as you can't buy it in the UK and I paid around £4-5 for it.

3) E.L.F Studio Stippling Brush

Before I got this brush, I used my fingers to apply my foundation, but I was so amazed at how well it went on using this! Idealy, I would prefer this brush to be a little bit firmer, but it's still great as it is. Blends foundation flawlessly into the skin! Great price aswell, I got mine for £3.50 at the elf website. (www.eyeslipsface.com)

4) Urban Decay Skyscraper Multibenefit Mascara

Here it is with the box it came in, I ADORE the packaging! This gives such beautiful seperated, natural looking lashes! It also makes my lashses SUPER long, which I love. You can build it up or just put one coat on for really natural lashes. Mine was around £12 when I got it, which is a little steep for a mascara, but I do love it!

5) The Natural Colletion Lipgloss (Vanilla)

Pretty much speaks for itself! Lovely clear lipgloss, and it smells nice! This one has a slightly different texture that their other lipglosses, it kind of melts into my lips and doesnt feel sticky at all! perfect for when I want a little bit of shine. It was £1.79 when I got it in Boots, so I can't complain!

6) E.L.F Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 15 (Light Beige)

Yes, I know, another face product. But I do love this, I use this when I don't need a lot of coverage and my skin is a little bit dry.It allows the skin to shine through and for me it gives a lovely glow! Will definitely repurchase when this runs out. Really great for lazy days! I got it for £1.50 from the E.L.F website. (above)

7) Urban Decay Primer Potion (Sin)
I just had to try and take a picture of the packaging. I think I was wasting my time as the camera isnt picking it up! I love the original Primer Potion but Sin is a lovely shimmering champagne colour. Its really pretty, and perfect for a neutral look because you can wear it alone! It lasts really long on me and is just such a lovely colour. It was about £11-12 pounds, which is a little pricey, but I use it all the time! It works really well as a base for other shadows aswell, gives them a lovely shimmer!

8) Rimmel London Match Perfection Skin Tone Adapting Concealer (10 Ivory)

This is definitely my favourite concealer! It actualy IS skin tone adapting (unlike so many other concealers) its fairly thick and gives great coverage. I have delicate skin around my eyes and it shows the veins, so this is great for hiding it. This is actually my new one that i bought because I thought my own one was running out, but that was a few weeks ago...one tube definitely lasts longer than you think it will! It was £4.99 which I think is a good price for such a good conealer.

9) Benefit High Beam Compexion Enhancer
I actually got this little version from Glamour Magazine, which was great as the full sized one is more than £20! I put this on my cheekbones and around my temples and it gives such a lovely glow and shimmer! I have fallen in love with it, so much so that when the sad time comes when it has run out I may have to buy a full sized one....I kind of hoped I wouldnt like it because it is expensive for what it is, but I do love it!

10) The Colour Workshop Base Coat Nail Varnish
To be honest, I don;t think it will matter which base coat you use, they all pretty much do the same thing. I use this all the time even when I don;t have anything on my nails, it make them look really shiny and healthy and I always get compliments! it also seems to stop my nails getting damaged so easily! A must have in my opinion! =) Not sure how much this as it was given as a gift as part of a set, but like I said, I don't think it would matter really which Base coat you use!

I hope you've enjoyed my Top 10 makeup products for Natural Beauty! All opinions are my own, none of this was sent for free.
Have a good day! =)

Review: NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils (Black Bean, Milk and Pots & Pans)

Hey everyone! Today I'm going to review the three NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils, the three shades I have are: Black Bean (Matt black), Milk (Matt white) and Pots & Pans (Shimmery silver)

I can't remeber how much I paid for them but I think it was less than £4 each. NYX is very hard to find in the UK, so I had to order mine online from Ebay, I got them in a lot together. I just had to buy some of these after seeing them in so many makeup tutorials on youtube! The only equivilant I can think of are the Barry M Supersoft Eye Crayons, but they are not as creamy in texture.

Lets start with Black Bean:
As you can see its a matt black, I love the texture of these, very creamy and soft. If I set this with a black eyeshadow it will last a LONG time on me, but they also blend pretty well if you don't set them. Its very pigmented, but I wouldn't recommend as a base because these do crease a lot, (because they're so creamy) but they are still very useful. The black is a very intense black. (sorry for the photo quality!)

Milk:

Milk is the second swatch down. Like Black Bean, it is a very pigmented, creamy pencil. I use this as an inner eye highlight in the tearduct and also just below the brow nearly every day, it works so well as a highlight! Again, I have tried using this as a base but it creased within a couple of hours. I'd never experienced creasing before these so I never have a problem with creasing. Very pigmented.

Pots & Pans is the one liner I haven't so useful, but it's still a great colour to have!
It is a very pretty, shimmery, fairly light silver. Like the others, creamy, pigmented ect. This one I've used as a base (but not on the whole lid because it will crease, I only used it on the inner third) and it worked well, I think I've been neglecting it a bit!

These are amazing quality for the price! I only wish NYX was available in the UK. =( Its a shame about the creasing, but I do love them even so! My favourite is the milk, as it makes such an amazing highlight! Would recommend, not the best product in the world, but very good quality for money and very useful and versitile!

Have a good day! =)

Review:Miss Sporty Studiolash Waterproof Mascara

Hey everyone! Before I start I want to say sorry this is my first blog post.. =/ was meaning to do some as soon as I created my blog but got distracted by summer! Summer is my favourite week of the year in England! =P Thank you very much for reading my blog, I will be putting up more posts very soon!

So I have very little experience with waterproof masaras (Ok none. This is the first waterproof mascara I've bought!) but me and my friends were planning on going to see the last harry potter film, (yes, we went on the first night it was out and yes we dressed up =)) and being a MASSIVE harry potter fan I anticipated some tears. I didn't know how much I was going to use a waterproof mascara after this one occasion, so I looked for one that was fairly cheap and came across the Miss Sporty Studiolash Waterproof Masara. There are quite a few Miss Sporty mascaras but this is the only one I have. At the time I bought this I think I paid around £3 for it, I got it from Boots but you can also buy it in superdrug.

(Picture from google so I take no credit)
So it says:
"Ultimate eye opening mascara with dual action applicator for instant lash sculpting effect with perfect separation. lashes are lifted up to 70% and up to 60% longer. Zero clumps.Smudge and smearproof."

Hm. It has a rubber brush that is flexible, which I have found does seperate my lashes fairly well, though I do have to run through my lashes with a lash comb afterwards. It is definitely not "Zero clumps", though I do prefer rubber wands to the bristle ones. This mascara does have a weird smell to it, so if thats the kind of thing that puts you off then I wouldn't recommend this. Personally my biggest problem is the length of time it takes to dry on my lashes. When I first apply it I have to be very careful not to blink (which lets face it, is pretty hard, even more so if you're in a rush!) whilst it dries or you'll end up with big black smears of mascara all over your face. Its quite a thick formula, I think. Once its on, I didnt have a problem with smearing (but I normally don't) and once I came out of the cinema I have to admit I was pleased that it had stayed on my lashes pretty well. (Although I was being careful to wipe my eyes just incase) so I would say that for me, this stays on quite well through tears ect. The waterproof-ness is good, drying time is not so good.

But hey, this is only a few pounds. If you need a quick waterproof mascara for a special occasion then its not a bad thing, but the drying time REALLY is annoying for me. I don't personally like having big black smears around my eyes. I won't repurchase this, and although it was pretty waterproof, I think I'll look for something else thats not going to take so long to dry this time!

Thanks for reading! Talk to you all soon,
